The Cloud

The cloud service I use the most is Google Drive. The drive from Google is a 15 GB free cloud service. If 15 GB is not enough you could increase the storage size to 100 GB for $1.99 every month or all the way to 30TB for 299.99 a month. Google Drive stores pretty much anything; photos, designs, drawings, recordings, videos, Microsoft Office files, etc. Google Drive can be used from almost every device that has internet access from either going into Google or downloading the Google Drive app, the service is available for Mac, PC, iTunes store, Windows store and Google store. Google Drive is a pretty secure but it has a few problems with it. The user could manage the security settings to personalize how secure they want their account to be. A problem with the service is that since the service is linked to the user’s gmail, someone could try to access it if they get the user’s e-mail address. Google drive allows people to share their files, which could also be another security problem, but this can be fixed by changing the sharing settings. The reason I use Google Drive is because is easy to use and I can use it anywhere I want.

5 Things you need to know about xmas!

Its December, and you know what that means. We’re all getting ready to celebrate christmas, hanukkah, kwanzaa and any other holiday I missed (oops). Its tradition in many families to put up the lights and set up the plastic and or real tree but other families are eagerly waiting to light up the menorah. Christmas is not the only holiday celebrated in December but it is the most popular in the United States.
I remember christmas gave me so much joy as a child, which I think is the biggest reason why I still celebrate that glorious morning, but as I get older I start to ask myself…where did christmas come from? Why do we celebrate it?..and who the hell is the REAL Santa Claus?
Since the first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336AD,  we can assume the humans back then weren’t stringing up lights and spiking eggnog. When I dug a little deeper on the subject I found 5 things, you need to know about christmas!

History Channel

Santa Claus comes from St. Nicholas, a Christian bishop living in Turkey in the 4th century AD. St. Nicholas had inherited a great deal of wealth and was known for giving it away to help the needy. St. Nicholas was also known as “the protector of children”. This explains the connection between children and their fondness of Santa.

Many people believe xmas falls on Dec. 25th because thats the day Jesus was born, but the bible never states this. So it is widely speculated that Dec. 25th was chosen because it coincided with the ancient pagan festival Saturnalia, which celebrated the agricultural god Saturn with partying, gambling, and gift-giving.

#3. Upside down or right side up!

Originally only used in department stores to increase floor space, consumers (as usual) decided they like the idea and took it home with them. Some european folks believe the “inverted tree” represented the holy trinity. You can buy this here tree for 198$.

#4. I’ll take EVERYTHING!

We lead in consumer culture thats a given but according to List25 Christmas purchases account for a 1/6 of all annual retail sales in the United States. Hot damn! No wonder why christmas comes earlier every year.

#5. “Im changing my status!”

Facebook released an article that tracked changing of relationship status, ‘Tracking the Seasonality of Relationship Formation’ and it stated that on Dec. 25 people are 34% more likely to pair up!

Apple uses a minimum of 128-bit AES encryption. This is the encryption standard used by banks and other financial institutions.

The security of iCloud is extremely safe unless you’re being tracked down by the NSA or something…

iCloud is available cross platform, which means you can access the cloud from your cell phone, computer, and even tablet!

Mobile Apps:

The option to connect to iCloud is integrated in the newer Apple products (devices that have iOS9 or later). Once activated, you can have instant access to all files on the cloud with little to no hassle.

Why iCloud?

I use all Apple products, therefore it’s the one I’m most familiar with. The cloud is very user-friendly and Apple offers 24/7 customer support online which means if I have any problems I can fix them immediately.

Cloud Based Services Google Drive

Google drive it free only for users how only use up to 15 GB but after that if you want 100 GB its $1.99 a month 1 TB is $9.99, 10 TB is $99.99 a month even though that is a lot of money Google Drive is a good storage choose. Google Drive can do it all it does docs it can upload media etc… It looks though that it has been attacked by outside sources before one was a bug in the 2009 where Google Docs had allowed viewer access to private documents and in 2011 a lot of US government officials passwords and their accounts where hacked by someone in China. You can view google drive from your phone, tablet, computer practically anywhere. I selected this one because I primarily use this one more and pay attention to it more. ^DF

Moov Now

The Moov Now

There are two articles , and another review of the Moov Now. I think that the most important information can be gathered from all and how this activity tracker is more of a virtual coach than an activity tracker in the sense that it has the ability to let you know how long you have done something other than sit around.

has the ability to coach through an app available to any individual using a smart phone. The tracker has a very lightweight; the band that holds the tracker is also light and dynamic.

The app helps you get better at your training activity especially if it is Running, Swimming, Walking and indoor cardio workout that is already preset into the app. There is an 8-minute workout that requires you to wear two trackers at the same time to measure your landing, push and range of motion.

If you are an experienced athlete the Moov does not offer the advanced coaching you might want. If you are a beginner athlete or just getting started, than this tracker really has the ability to help you get motivated to exercise for a little at home with an intensity that can help you get better or do an interval walk, the coaching voice comes through your phone and helps you push yourself harder.   Another feature is that it automatically tracks your sleep and quality of sleep; the con of this feature is that if you stop moving the tracker just consider that as sleep.

The biggest downfall in all articles researched is that if you have a big size phone this would be a very difficult thing to have with you if you go running. Also if you choose the boxing work out it is necessary to have the second tracker. All other workouts only require one.

The battery will last for six months and once you need to replace the replacement is only a few dollars.
