Security and Online Identity

The movie ‘Terms and Conditions May Apply,’ gives great insight on privacy and provides the general conclusion that nothing is really private, not your online identity and/or your privacy setting no matter your efforts to make them private. However, there are measures you can take to ensure better privacy such like making your information private to not share sensitive information and/or remove all your social media accounts (only if you feel very strongly about your privacy), clearing your cache and cookies, and deleting your web history, or use private web windows. Also, there are services that can remove your name from a list of websites but this usually includes a small fee, but it is better than your profile being out there.

These are a few of the many ways a user can go about removing personal content and information from website. However, it is not guaranteed that all personal information be removed off the web, but at least you have begun.
