This may sound weird, but my favorite app to use on my iPhone is the pre-installed Apple Notes. I have a tendency to forget important passwords, codes, and I don’t even have my social security number memorized. Notes allows me to write everything down that I know I will forget, and I don’t even have to worry about someone else peeping into my information. The app allows you to “lock” certain notes that you have to unlock with your Touch ID.
Notes is one of those apps that I feel like everyone takes advantage of, however, it is actually a super innovative and useful tool that is already on your phone. One of my favorite notes that I keep adding to is the list of restaurants that I want to try. Other lists I keep are books, movies, podcasts, products, and much more that I either come across online or I hear a recommendation from a friend and I know that I will forget what they said by the end of the day.
If you haven’t given Notes a try, I would recommend it because it’s so easy and I know the feeling of regret when you forget something and say to yourself, “why didn’t I write that down?” Also, the app has other cool tools like inserting photos into your notes, highlighting certain text, and you can create drawings with a pencil or pen tool.
Don’t be the person like my parents who are constantly asking me what the password is to Netflix, just write it down in your Notes, and you’re good to go.
