Classy and Creative Christmas Traditions

Bitter cold, whistling wind, and icy sidewalks are all by products of the winter and Christmas season. But it’s important to not get caught up in the negative, the Christmas season is all about cherishing great moments with friends and family. One of the best ways to do that is by creating traditions and memories with your loved ones.

For many years now my family has stuck to our traditions and tried to improve them every year. One of my favorite memories that we have had over the past few years is our New Years Eve celebration. We all get together at about 3 o’clock on New Years Eve, get out our 20$ bills and set up the Annual Texas Hold em family tournament. The reason why I love this so much is because it is “ours”. To me that is what traditions are all about, making it yours. The best way to do this, is to just find something that you and your family like to do, and just make it yours. The more you keep doing it, the more it will become cemented into your tradition.

Around Christmas time is a wonderful time to be around family and close friends. When you are just a youngster there is all kinds of fun things that surround the Christmas holiday from sitting on Santa’s lap and telling him what you want for Christmas, to waking up on Christmas morning with a smile that reaches from ear to ear. But as an adult you have to grow into new habits and traditions. I love being around family and friends that make you smile, and remember what life is all about. So this Christmas season strive to be creative and do something that will create a memory for you and your family members. It will change the way you look at the holiday season! christmas1
