Is the new iphone worth the hype?

It’s that time of year again, a new and improved iphone will be hitting Apple stores September 20th, but of course the option to pre-order is there as well. The Verge has come out with an article discussing the best and worst features of the new iphone 11 pro and iphone 11 pro max.

First off, we got the significant battery life improvements that Apple strived to revamp. This time around, the new iphone 11 pro now last 4 hours longer than previous models. Battery life is so crucial to most consumers and it is very exciting to hear that this is a new feature. Extra battery life is pretty impressive if you ask me! Now, let us talk about the triple camera system on these new phones. You got one ultra-wide angle 12-megapixel camera, one standard wide 12-megapixel, a 12-megapixel telephoto, and of course, can’t forget about the added telephoto lens, which adds an extreme advantage. These factors also carry over to video which is takes this phone on a whole new level. The last thing this article mentions as a best feature is the OLED screen. Apple calls it a Super Retina XDR.

As I was reading this article, I wondered to myself what the worst features could be, and the first one mentioned is the color options provided for these phones. Compared to the last issues of iphones, these color options would be described as boring according to the consumers. The second worst feature declared is not many “pro” benefits to help the phone live up to its expectations. It has the extra battery life and a triple-threat camera, but consumers expected more with a name “pro.” The last worst feature as indicated by this article is no USB-C this year. As an iphone user myself, with no USB-C port, it can be very annoying.

Iphone 11 pro and pro max have definitely lived up to the hype!
